T. Jake Hinkins recognized as 2024 Mountain States Super Lawyer - General Litigation

We are pleased to announce that T. Jake Hinkins, founder of Anderson | Hinkins has been recognized as one of 2024's Mountain States Super Lawyers in the category of General Litigation. This prestigious designation showcases years of achievement and dedication to his clients.

To be selected as a Super Lawyer, nominees undergo a rigorous and comprehensive selection process. An overview of the process is summarized below:

STEP 1:

Lawyers must be nominated by a peer, or they may be nominated by the Super Lawyer's research department. One cannot nominate themselves, or campaign for their personal nomination.

The integrity of this process is protected by procedures and reviews specifically placed to prevent the system from being "worked" and to weed out solicited nominations.

STEP 2:

The research process will evaluate nominees based on these 12 indicators (and not all indicators carry identical weight):

  • Verdicts/Settlements
  • Transactions
  • Representative Clients
  • Experience
  • Honors/Awards
  • Special licenses/certifications
  • Position within the law firm
  • Bar and/or professional activity
  • Pro bono and community service
  • Scholarly lectures/writings
  • Education/employment background
  • Other outstanding achievements

STEP 3:

Peer Review - candidates with the highest points from each practice area are asked to serve on a panel, and are provided a list of candidates from their practice area to review and rank on a 1-5 scale.

STEP 4:

After these reviews, candidates are placed into 4 firm-sized groups and the candidates with the highest point total in each group is selected. Candidates are reviewed against other candidates from like-sized firms, and the end result is the top 5% of lawyers from each state are then selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers.

A final check ensures that all selectees are in good standing, asked to state that they've never been subject to criminal and disciplinary proceedings and then internet checked for any outstanding matters that may reflect poorly on the lawyer.
